Men and Women SHGs
SHGs are the grass root structure at the bottom where the participation and interaction of the people are in optimum. It is the ‘organized forum of people, which is planned, shaped and structured by the people themselves to attain the preset/pre-identified goals and purposes’. These groups consist of 20-25 members are considered as socially viable and the catalytic agents of social change stands for their own empowerment and developmental process in a community. We promote separate SHGs for men and women for facilitating optimum participation of women in their groups and to provide separate space for women
